Mental Health - Specifically Linked to Covid-19

Last updated:  25.06.20 10:40am
At present, we are living in a world that is completely different to what it was just a few short months ago.  It has brought unexpected changes to us all in so many ways that have not only affect our day-to-day lives, but the day-to-day lives of people all over the world.

In uncertain times like these, it is perfectly normal to experience worry, but what is important is that we do not let these worries take over.   If you are feeling worried, anxious or finding it difficult to cope, please reach out, seek support and talk to somebody who can help you.

If you are in need of any support, we hope that you will find the resources and links on this page useful.  Although school is closed, we are still there if you need us and will support you in any way that we can.  If you need us, please email us on winwick_primary@warrington.gov.uk.

Mental Health Crisis Line Update - 23.06.2020
PEOPLE living in Halton, Knowsley, St Helens, Warrington and Wigan who need urgent mental health support can now call our 24/7 crisis lines for free.
The Mental Health Crisis Team have upgraded their existing 24/7 mental health crisis lines to Freephone numbers. This means they are now free to call from both landlines and mobile phones.

The new dedicated phone numbers are:

  • 0800 051 3253 – for people living in Wigan
  • 0800 051 1508 – for people living in Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington

The crisis lines provide support 24 hours a day, seven days a week to people of all ages, including children and young people, who need urgent mental health support.

Anyone who dials the original local numbers will still reach our mental health crisis teams first time, without the need to be diverted. However, calls made to the original numbers will be charged.
