Reception 2021... thinking of joining us?

Thank you for taking an interest in our school. We wish we could have met and shown you around in person so you could feel the warmth and the love everyone has for Winwick, but unfortunately this is a year like no other.
We pride ourselves on caring for our children, as if they were our own, enabling them to grow and develop into well rounded, socially responsible young adults who have the capability to be whatever they wish to be in life.
We have put together a range of information below, for both you as adults and also for your child, so you can hopefully get that 'feel' for our school which is so important when choosing the right place for your child to grow, develop and learn.
You will also find lots of further information on the wider website which we hope will be useful.
If you do have further questions then don't hesitate to email school and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
I look forward to meeting you, hopefully very soon,
Mrs Sue Dymond

Winwick Y6 Lead Ambassadors
Normally we would have the pleasure of showing you around our school if you visited. Well if we can't do it in person, we still wanted to tell you a bit about our Winwick family and the different things on offer.
We hope you enjoy the video of us telling you about our super school and also the collection of photos we put together to show all the amazing things we do.

Welcome to our Reception Class & Setting

Mr Henaghen and Miss King (your teachers) have been busy making these videos for you to see the fabulous Reception classroom and outdoor space.
The children this year love playing and learning in both!
Hopefully you will love it as much as they do...

Winwick Welcome from Reception 2020
Our current Reception class wanted to also say 'hello' and sing you one of their favourite songs they have learnt since joining us in September.
Forms To Complete & Return once a place has been given via the Local Authority. This is usually around April time.
EYFS Curriculum

At Winwick, we have one Reception Class (children aged 4-5). The children in Reception work within the EYFS statutory framework and the Development Matters Guidance document is used to inform planning and assessment.

On this page, you will have the opportunity to look at the curriculum we teach in the EYFS. If you wish to see photos or find out about our current EYFS class, then please look on the Reception class page.

The EYFS curriculum is made up of the Characteristic of Effective Learning and the prime and specific areas of learning (which are all interconnected).
