Phonics Activities & Games

DAILY PHONICS LESSONS

The Department for Education is now producing daily Phonics sessions aimed at Reception and Year 1, but they are also suitable for Year 2 children and any other children struggling with their Phonics.  In school, the children in Reception/Key Stage 1 would have a daily Phonics session every morning.

We recommend that all children in these classes continue to do this as part of their home learning and advise parents/carers to try to include this as part of your child's daily routine.  In school we would normally do Phonics immediately after registration in the morning; you may wish to continue with this routine, or slot it in elsewhere.

Below, you will find a link to the Letters and Sounds YouTube page where you can access a range of lessons that your child can watch/take part in.
